We have some reports that Ndless 4.0.3 installation does fail on new TI-Nspire CX assembled since November 2015.
They're using a new hardware revision, HW-W, coming with a new Boot1 4.0.1.43 instead of 3.0.0.99 :

In order to patch Ndless 4.0.3 if possible, the first thing to do for the Ndless team would be to get a TI-Nspire CX HW-W.
And unfortunately, you don't know the hardware revision when you buy a new TI-Nspire CX, as you cannot check the back of the calculator.
Could you take some nice pictures of the calculator front, so that we can check if there are any tiny design changes which may help indentifying them in shops ?
Thank you very much.

Some little test to help the Ndless team figuring out where it's crashing.
Just remove or rename the ndless_resources file, and open the installer.
When closing the document with , the normal behaviour is :
- a yellow/blue error message about the missing file shown in the top left-hand corner for much less than a second
- and then, back to the home screen
So, does your calculator manage to show the error message and go back to the home screen, or does it also crash ?
Thank you. Some news.
We've been shared some logs.
The new HW-W calculators are in fact TI-Nspire CX CR4.
We've also been shared some pictures.
Back of HW-O + HW-W :

Notice a significantly smaller battery door for HW-W.
But this doesn't imply a new battery, as the Samsung one used in HW-O calculators wasn't even taking all the space to begin with :
